 Learning Objectives:

To identify the features of a fronted adverbial phrase

Success Criteria:

I can create a variety of space themed fronted adverbial sentences.

SPAG

Fronted adverbials are adverbs or adverbial phrases - found at the beginning of a sentence.  They are usually separated from the rest of the sentence with a comma.

Re-write these sentences so that the adverbial phrase is at the front of the sentence with a comma.

EG: After the rain stopped, a rainbow appeared.

1 The rocket is due to leave the station in five minutes.

2 We waved goodbye before we set off.

3 We used the last of the oxygen prior to 10:00.

4 I proudly stood on the rocket without a sound.

5 There was a wire loose under the panel.

6 I drifted along the safety wire very slowly.
