Kodu Programming - Lesson 1 - Y3/Y4

Lesson Learning Objectives:  

  1. To learn computer suite routines
  2. To introduce sencolewis website
  3. To introduce Kodu - Use tutorials 1-3 add Character, rover
  4. To add land and programme directions / eating apples
  5. Self assess.

Add a rover and a Kodu, programme them to move independently (Lesson 1 example)

All children should be able to:

1 Find designated computer in the computer suite

2 Investigate Kodu lesson examples 1-2

Selecting Kodu and Rovers - programming both for direction control 

3 Follow introduction example


Most Children should be able to:

Complete 1-3

4 Complete building flat land using the tools / size brushes


Some Children should be able to:

5 To investigate adding code for the Kodu to  eat apples and avoid rocks

Ext: only eat red apples



Programme your Kodu to seek and eat the apples!
